I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this place… a unique rustic themed restaurant, something I imagined to be in Tagaytay or Antipolo and not in Marikina. I have lived in Marikina for a decade and heard about this place. Pan de Amerikana? I was visualizing a plain bakery, nothing special to make me go there. I was wrong. After so many photos seen on the internet, I dragged my cousin to check out the place and try their food. Anyways, it’s just a 10 minute ride from our place. Here are random photos of the bakery/resto.
You guys can enjoy taking photos, chat with your friends, relax on the hammock swing, climb the tree house, or play chess (some chess boards are carved on the tables…cool!). Oh yeah! You can bring your laptop or gadgets too since they have free wifi access.
What’s more amazing is their food. Pan de Amerikana serves mostly Filipino dishes, there’s ILOKANO (longganisa, papaitan, pinakbet, and igado, BICOLANO (bicol express and laing), CEBUANO (sinugba), KAPAMPANGAN (pork and bangus sisig), and BATANGENO (tawilis). There’s also Halo-Halo, carbonara, spaghetti, turon, and their famous pandesal for snacks. Check out the menu board below. You need not worry about your budget; you can spend as low as 20 pesos for spaghetti and as much as 150 pesos for a t-bone steak. Ain’t that cool?… That’s totally awesome!
Next time you’re in Marikina, drop by and chill in Pan De Amerika. You might want to join also Tai-Chi lessons, photography clubs, and Art classes… so tag your family and friends along!

it is a great idea to take your kids in art lesson workshops because it helps them develop “
i agree! art workshops help boost creativity and resourcefulness. kids are also able to express their feelings thru art.
I HIGHLY recommend Pan De Amerikana
i definitely agree! thanks mae for dropping by. 😀
Hi! I plan to bring my family and a balikbayan relative on Jan. 1. How do we go there by car if we’re coming from Las Pinas? EDSA or C5 way?
Hi Jun! From south you can drive to marikina thru C5. If you are familiar with the C-5 route going to Ateneo, follow that route but don’t pass thru the fly-over instead you turn right at the corner of Sta.Clara Church. From there, you take the left lane passing thru the fly-over going to marikina. You can follow jeepneys with SSS signage to make it easier for you. The closest landmark to pan de amerikana is the World of Butterflies. Don’t worry, marikeno’s are friendly and courteous to help you.
Here’s a link that could be of help: http://www.waypoints.ph/vmap.php?wpt=worbut
I hope you find your way. Enjoy!

thanks,
ms. owie
hi ms. owie! Yes, Pan de Amerikana has recovered from typhoon ondoy and is back to business. It’s doing very well, in fact they’ve opened another branch in katipunan extension going to white plains. 🙂
Are you open on holy week? specifically on thursday? reply pls. thank you.
hello nyl! Kindly contact Pan de Amerikana for your inquiry. Their contact # is at the end of the post. tnx!
i’ve never been to that place ! after i saw some of the photos you take, i really want to be there and relax to that beautiful place :))
how to get there from baclaran?
You may take MRT Taft then shift to LRT Cubao then stop at katipunan station. Take SSS village jeep then stop at Molave wet and dry Market. Pan de Amerikana is just 100 meters away.
Another way is to ride an FX taxi from Cubao (aurora blvd near LRT Station) with sign board SSS. Ask driver to drop you to Molave wet and dry Market. You may walk or ride a tricycle going to Pan De Amerikana.
Hi tnaps ~ I’ve driven by another one of their branches near Metro that is built like an upside down house, but I didn’t stop. I imagine they have the same great menu as this branch does.
yes i saw the upside down house along the Katipunan stretch of Ateneo going to Corinthians. i would love to visit and try the menu.
may couple table po ba dito gusto po namen pumunta 🙂
yes, meron tables for couples. hope you enjoy your pan de amerikana visit. you can share your experience here. thanks!
