BROCCOLI SALAD with CRAB STICKS

 

Ingredients:

    • 3 heads broccoli
    • 1 carrot
    • 1/2 pack crab sticks (about 8 sticks)
    • 2/3 cup mayo
    • salt
    • pepper
    • seasonings as you like (we added worcestershire sauce and garlic salt)

 

Procedure:

Cut up broccoli flowerettes into bite-sized pieces.

Cut the carrots in short (about an inch long) thin strips.

Shred the crab meat.

Heat a large pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the broccoli and carrots for 1/2 to 2 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the veggies.

Run under cold water and drain in a colander. Wait until veggies are cool and dry.

Mix the broccoli, carrots, crab sticks and mayo on a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add a few drops of worcestershire sauce for flavor and color.

Make sure to cover the ingredients with enough mayo. Chill in the fridge for 15-30 minutes.

That’s it.  This is a super quick, healthy dish for you to enjoy!

Recommended add ons or substitute for crabsticks: corn kernels, bacon, fried chicken, grilled chicken, etc.

CRAB RANGOON

 

Ingredients:

 

 

    • cream cheese

 

    • crab meat

 

    • soy sauce

 

    • salt and pepper

 

    • onion

 

    • garlic

 

    • cooking oil

 

  • wanton wrapper

 

Procedure:

 

Shred the crab meat. Chop the onion and garlic. Soften the cream cheese on a bowl and add all ingredients except the wanton and cooking oil. Mix and fold until crab meat is covered with cream cheese.

Get the wanton wrapper and put in 1 tsp of the mixture and then seal it.

Deep fry until golden brown.

Serve hot. Enjoy the crab rangoon with the sauce of your choice : chili sauce, ketchup, or soy sauce with lemon/calamansi.

 

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! or CRAP…CRAP…CRAP…

 

It’s a clap clap clap for the crab rangoon!!! Everyone enjoyed the crunchy wanton with the creamy crab filling. Yummmmy… it was totally delicioso! A perfect appetizer even for the non-seafood lover. You may add chili for those who want some kick of spiciness in it.
