I brought my mom, my nephew Van Dyke, and my niece Vyone to Eat Fresh- Marikina for dinner. I have been wanting to bring them there because I know they love Chinese food. We went on a Sunday, the timing was great because the store prepared something special to welcome the Year of the Dog. It was a great experience as it was Van and Vyone’s first time to watch a lion dance performance.
Dinner was excellent! I made them try my favorite squid and crab fingers. They loved it! We also had Vyone’s favorite, sweet and sour fish fillet. Other dishes we ordered were Beef brisket, Salt and pepper spareribs, Curry beef tendon, and Salt and pepper pork intestine. It was my first time to try the Curry beef tendon and Salt and pepper pork intestine. I do not regret trying out new dishes at this restaurant. My family and I enjoyed everything we ordered. We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. Thanks, Eat Fresh!
Whether we are going out for a free movie on a Monday or trying out restaurants, bonding time is always fun with mama. It was her first time at Eat Fresh – Marikina; I brought her there for lunch. She enjoyed her Beef Brisket claypot rice and chopseuy. Oh, she liked the crab fingers too! I had my usual Chinese sausage with mushroom rice… my favorite!
I hope you get to spend time with your parents too, not for the senior discount (hahahah), but to make memories you will cherish for a lifetime.
Claypot rice is so perfect for this cold December weather; it brings warmth at every bite. I have here two and I will add more restaurants for my Claypot rice series.
What it is to love about claypot rice? It is a one-dish meal wherein the flavorful rice is cooked in the claypot together with the meat and veggies. The traditional way of cooking it is by cooking using charcoal. It gives a burnt flavor…smokey… and creates a crusty bottom of burnt rice. It is best to season it with the broth or sauce to enhance the flavor.
